Yuanta-FJCU Dreams Take Flight Project Wins Taiwan MOE’s Education Sponsorship Gold Award for 3 Consecutive Years for Continuing Cycle of Goodness

Yuanta Financial Holding Company (FHC) and Yuanta Cultural and Educational Foundation (Foundation) have been investing in education in remote areas for a long time, actively accompanying and caring for countless students as they grow up and study. We have been promoting the “Yuanta-FJCU Dreams Take Flight” public welfare service project with Fu Jen Catholic University (FJCU) since 2011, and it is now in its fourteenth year. Through diversified companionship and care, nurturing the seeds of education and passing on the warmth of the “cycle of goodness,” the Yuanta-FJCU Dreams Take Flight Project has been recognized by the Education Sponsorship Section of Taiwan’s Ministry of Education for seven consecutive years. The project has even been honored with the Education Sponsorship Gold Award for three years in a row starting from 2022.

The Yuanta-FJCU Dreams Take Flight Project cares for a wide range of age groups, from elementary school children to graduate students, and you can see Yuanta volunteers and FJCU companions accompanying the students as if they were family members. Since the inception of the project, a total of 2,315 recipients have been awarded grants to foster talent in remote areas, allowing students to have more opportunities to choose their dreams. In order to enrich the educational resources in the remote areas, we have also called on university students to join the Digital Student Learning Partners Program, which takes care of the after-school studies and caring companionship of the students in the remote areas by means of online distance learning, and has so far benefited a total of 397 students. Furthermore, we organize physical caring activities in remote areas to provide children with the most substantial growth experience, so as to promote cultural education and local heritage.

Yuanta Foundation’s chief executive officer, Sonia Chung, said that the Yuanta-FJCU Dreams Take Flight Project enriches the knowledge of the students in remote areas and offers a channel for the students to get to know and become familiar with each other. Supporting each other is the only way to go far and long. Tzu-Han Lu, director of the Taiwan Rural Education and Care Center of the FJCU, thanked Yuanta for the continuous support and expressed that the “Yuanta Babies” who have been helped have grown up to give back to their hometowns and have the ability to pass on their love to their “underclassmen,” creating a positive cycle of goodness.

Firmly adhering to the philosophy of “accompanying life with life, teaching life with life,” Yuanta FHC and Yuanta Foundation have always spared no effort in contributing to education in remote areas. Through a series of well-planned programs with depth and breadth, we provide comprehensive care and companionship to our students, so that they can create their future, change their lives, and realize their dreams.
